WDE

Uh oh... looks like someone got a new "T-Shirt" today...
(One of the only english words Jjajja knows is "T-Shirt" for some reason, ha ha!)
Auburn's newest fan... my jjajja Kev!
(I also have the key to her NEW LOCK clipped to her.  Woo hoo!)

"mzungu"

There are few days sweeter than when a child who once
"feared the whites"... starts to love one.
Meet my gal Fatuma =)

almond love.

Introduced Jjaja to one of my favorite foods today... almonds!
Turns out, she loves them - so I gave her my whole stash.  #TrueLove
In case you've wondered, this is inside Jjajja's home.
Because she has to crawl to get anywhere, thieves have stolen almost everything she owns
(including her mattress).
We are fixing a new lock on her door (one that is lower to the ground so she can reach it) to try to help.  I love this woman.

Family Day

Our beautiful Sozo Family spent the day at the pool today!

I am so proud of our kids that were baptized today!
What amazing young men and women we have in our Sozo Family.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20

place of FREEDOM.

Meet Jaja Florence and her son Ivan.
They have hosted one of my intern teams all summer in the Village.
 My Jaja Kev (again).
Her JOY overwhelms me and reminds me of who Christ is.
The new baby born last week now has a name... meet John!
My boy Ivan is doing quite well this week.

I spent the day picking and transporting (on my head) grass
with Jaja Robina in the Ngongolo Village.
She uses this dried grass for the roof of her house.
There weren't any fireworks here, but the sky was beautiful today.
... because "where the spirit of the Lord is,
there is FREEDOM!"

astounded.

"Look among the nations, and SEE;
WONDER and be ASTOUNDED.
For I am doing a work in your days
that you would NOT BELIEVE if told."
-Habakkuk 1:5
My favorite thing to look down and see.  Jimmy.
My interns love Jimmy too!  =)
Most Wednesdays I just sit and hold Jimmy.
We communicate via smiles and squeezes...
I'm convinced that LOVE needs no translation.

Jimmy is in a new school this year (Hidden Treasures in Kabalagala) so I put him to the test...
He can now write out his FULL name and it is absolutely beautiful.
I am so proud of him.
