Lemonade for a Cause!

I was so excited to read a Facebook post this weekend about these two young ladies and what they are doing to get to Uganda! The Glennon Family (Gabi pictured right) is working (in some very creative ways) to save money to fly to Uganda next Summer.  The Glennon's sponsor Daudi (pictured below) from Sozo House 3.  I am so thrilled to see how this family is making it happen!  Thank you for your dedication to Daudi - he is so blessed to be part of the Glennon Family!

Talking about Sozo Children never gets old!

Today I was blessed with two fabulous opportunities to speak about

what the Lord is doing through Sozo in Uganda. 

Thank you to Hoover Rotary  - who allowed me to speak at their luncheon today...

and to Ms. Elizabeth Griffith, from Auburn University,

who interviewed me tonight for her Feature Writing class.  It was a pleasure!

Sozo Children also had a booth for the Go Global event at Samford University today.

It was fun to see everyone who came out to support global missions.

 

Andrea Wilson

I had the absolute pleasure of serving alongside Andee Wilson this past Summer in Uganda... and as only our Lord could so perfectly coordinate - she is now one of my best friends!  Andee serves as Sozo Children's Child Sponsorship Coordinator, and she rocks it!  I'm a better person when I'm with Andee and I praise the Lord daily for her.  Tomorrow, we will celebrate her birthday - and I beg for your prayers for this sweet angel who has come into my life.  She's pictured above with my "JimmyThing" ... I can't think of a better pair!  =)

"Is At-tita your Home Lala?"

Talks with this kid about "At-tita" (aka: Africa) has been hands down, my favorite part about being home...

 

 

Colt is basically a genius... since I've been home he has been begging me to teach him "Africa words" every time we get together.  Our list is quickly growing... he is so much fun!

It is with a heavy heart that I give an update to everyone about Dana who has decided not to go back to Uganda with me next month. I am so excited about her continued support of my journey in Uganda and I encourage everyone to cover her in your prayers as she returns to UAB Hospital in October - as an OR nurse (yes, she loves blood)! Spending the past 6 months partnered with her in Africa has been amazing - she is amazing! I love her very much and will miss her daily in Uganda, however I could not be more proud of her decision to return to medicine - where she is so obviously gifted!
